We just paid your June rewards, will make another payout for July at the end of this month, Aug & September will be paid by the end of November and then we will be back on track.

So... what about the remaining vendors / products that aren't part of the Portal Select universe? Will *non* Portal Select purchases count toward the $5000/month requirement to knock out the monthly $49 charge to use Portal?
Cash back will only be on Portal Select items, correct.
All orders will still count towards your $5k for free proposals, that does not change.
I still have not been notified of any rewards going to the card. since june.

Unequivocally! You are getting paid on those.
I have the same question as Ed Kmetz about how much of our orders will apply toward the $5,000 requirement to eliminate the monthly fee.
All monthly orders, Portal Select or not, will count towards your free proposal threshold of $5k.

Unfortunate but if something seems to good to be true, it probably is. Such is the case with how this has continued to unravel. It has truly been better than a telenovela. That being said, I feel it has been inappropriate that funds have not been paid thus far and when Portal is asked about it, I have received a myriad of answers which simply comes across as unprofessional and quite frankly deceptive.
At the end of the day, and as exhibited by other questions here, several things still remain unclear so perhaps another video with just some straight talk would be appreciated.
1. What about current unpaid funds to the card - will these be paid and when?
2.So the only items earning rewards moving forward will be items purchased under the "Portal Select" banner. Are these specific rewards still going to be paid to the Portal Select CC or are they only going to be in the form of a credit with Portal to purchase more "Portal Select" items? This seemed very unclear to me.
3.Why did it take so long to simply state what probably everyone felt was the obvious and that the rewards were going away? A little more transparency would have been nice.
4. I think your platform idealistically is great, however, i feel a little housekeeping is in order so that this information is presented to your clients in a more comprehensive way and a little more direct so that we have an understanding of where we stand and what Portal represents.
When does money stop getting put on the card?
It doesn't. The rewards card will continue, you will just earn cash on Portal Select purchases starting in November.
According to Kirk's message from a week ago (type in "Delayed Rewards" in "Find an answer quickly" for complete message)
"We will start by paying June rewards next week then July at the end of the month, continuing with two payments a month until we are caught up. We hate this delay more than you do but are proud to have fought hard to bring this rebate program to the industry and gain the support to sustain it for years to come."
I was paid June rewards 10/15 and expect I will be paid July in another week.
1-We all want to know the answers to both Ed's Questions (Assuming the answer to his 1st is "Yes", and while that's sad that was never my primary reason for switching to Portal versus the two main industry options I paid for) but I would like to know the answer to the 2nd Q: are the purchases from the appx 30 Portal Select Suppliers the only ones that will help us towards payment for our use of the Portal system for proposal generation and order submission?
2-Depending on the answer to those questions I believe many of the distributors and suppliers I was able to help get on board to use this system (as it was easier for me to have one system for all projects and sales and orders) may turn away if they consider "Portal Select Suppliers" to be competition. Several of them sell products like TruAudio, Atlona, Definitive Technology, SCP, Screen Innovations, Origin to name a few,
3-Depending upon the answers to all above, should we decide to cannabalize our distributors in favor of some of those listed "Portal Select" brands, what do we have to do to move our sales from the distributors directly to these suppliers directly from time to time to help pay for our Portal usage? (Not sure I will, I'm just asking, as I really want to support local distribution)
Walt, Good statements and questions. Looking at my purchases, I won't be seeing much from rewards going forward as the Select program products are very select. Reviewing my purchases,the rewards program for me will be a bust. Having said that, If the total "at large," non Select" products do not count toward the " free" proposal system, I will have to say good bye.

The Portal Select Items are so minimal on what we install. Is there a future list of brands that will be coming over to Portal select? Control 4, Snap products, Audio Quest, Sonance ( only Outdoor products)?
Hi Brian, we have several more brands in the queue but it's hard for us to name them until they are implemented. We have had many brands get on board due to dealer requests so we just started a petition program where you can fill out a form for the brands you most want to see and we will provide the data directly to executives at those brands. Email email@example.com and he can get you going on that.
Question for you though... If a vendor were to participate in our rewards program, say for 1%, but in order to fund it they reduced their current rebate program by 1%, is that something you'd prefer? Cash in your pocket instead of in a check to your business?
For clarification, If I want to earn rewards on Lutron then I MUST buy from your Portal Select vendor (in this case WAVE Electronics) as opposed to direct?
Do you even need to have a direct relationship with these "Select" vendors or can anyone purchase anything that is available via "Portal Select"?
Correct. Right now Wave is the only Portal Select supplier for Lutron so only purchases to Wave will earn you rewards. We're working on Lutron to get them up on Portal Select for their direct dealers but it's slow going.
For your second question... No. If you see the Portal Select badge, you are authorized to buy from the Portal Select supplier automatically.
